Our Pastor

Pastor Noah McCann, a young man with a neat beard wearing a western shirt and bolo tie.

Noah McCann is a full-time Chaplain in Billings, Montana.  He works in the Spiritual Care Department at Billings Clinic, where he cares for patients in the Inpatient Cancer and Intermediate Care Centers. Sometimes patients need to share their feelings and concerns with someone who is not involved with the physical aspect of their treatment and recovery. “I am one of the only people (on the patient’s care team) who can just care about them as a person,”  Noah says. “I’m someone who wants to hear what they think, and how they feel about what they are going through.  I talk with them; I listen and pray with them.”

Noah volunteers with the Pet Therapy program at Billings Clinic.  He accompanies Poppy the Therapy Dog and Virginia Power to bring a little joy and fun to people who are going through a tough time. Their rounds include both of Noah’s floors plus the Pediatric Hospital.

On the first and third Sunday of every month, Noah travels to Pompey’s Pillar Chapel in Pompeys Pillar, Montana, to deliver a sermon for the chapel service. Noah preaches simple messages that are focused on Scripture.  He presents what the Bible says about itself clearly and thoroughly so that the application (of the message) is very simple.  “If you understand what it means, then the application is self-evident,” Noah says.

Noah has been the Pastor of Pompey’s Pillar Chapel since April 2022. His primary responsibility to the church is to preach, but he provides Pastoral care to the congregation as well. He also leads a weekly men’s Bible Study in Billings. Noah is an exceptionally gifted, brilliant young man and a dedicated servant of Christ. We are so blessed to know him.

We believe that God has a plan of salvation for everyone.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

We admit that we are sinners.
“There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is our Lord and our Savior.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

We confess the Lord Jesus Christ.
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9.

We commit our lives to Him.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.Deuteronomy 6:5

How to Become a Member of Our Congregation

New Christians who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and give public testimony to the experience of being converted must be baptized by immersion and may then become members of our congregation.

Baptized Christians seeking a new church home, who come by statement of faith and of their previous baptism by immersion in a church of like faith and order, may be accepted by a vote of the congregation.
